Excerpt: Crystal Gayle (born Brenda Gail Webb on January 9, 1951) is an American country music singer best known for a series of country-pop crossover hits in the late 1970s and early 1980s, including Dont It Make My Brown Eyes Blue (Crystal has blue eyes) and the song Half The Way.
